Do you have a skin concern or condition?

A skin concern is a condition of the skin which may or may not be related to your skin type but something you would like to treat or see an improvement in.

Redness:
Redness in the skin is typically classified by the high colour in the cheeks, quite often the cheeks feel warm to touch and can be quite tight feeling, dry and sensitive.
How to treat:
Shop for products that calm and soothe the skin and help to reduce the redness and sensitivity.  Some products can counteract the look of the redness while soothing the inflammation.Stay away from exfoliation until the redness has calmed down. A regular soothing, hydrating mask treatment can help to alleviate the tight, dry feeling. Non active products(without AHA's and BHA's) are recommended

Mature:
Loose, crepey skin highlighted with lines and wrinkles over the face and neck are typical symptoms of mature skin. The skin may appear dull, fragile and lacking moisture.
How to treat:
Shop for products that boost collagen production, encourage cell turnover and regenerate the skin. A rich moisturiser will replace the moisture content and weekly exfoliation is recommended. A moisturiser with an SPF is highly recommended for daytime.

Sensitivity:
Broken capillaries and vessels are evident and skin is prone to redness. The skin may display signs of Rosacea.
How to treat:
Shop for products that calm and soothe, help to reduce the redness and sensitivity, yet strengthen the skin. Stay away from exfoliation but regular calming, soothing and hydrating mask treatments will alleviate symptoms. Ensure your water intake is sufficient during the day and stay out of the sun!

Pigmentation/Sun spots:
The skin displays signs of sun abuse: irregular blotchy patches, sun spots, lines and dryness.
How to treat:
Shop for products that are designed to even out the skin tone, lighten, brighten and regenerate the skin. Products with active ingredients (AHA's and BHA's) tend to produce the best results. An SPF 30+  moisturiser is an absolute must throughout the year and needless to say,"cover up in the sun"

Fine lines:
Fine lines are typical of a skin that is starting to age, the lines are most apparent around the eye area with a few on the forehead.
How to treat:
Shop for products that are designed to alleviate fine lines around the eye area. An SPF 30+ moisturiser is highly recommended for daytime and also look for products that contain anti-oxidants.

Excess oil/Breakouts:
Typical characteristics of this condition is the shine on the skin produced by an overproduction of oil. Breakouts/acne is evident and the skin is coarse to touch.
How to treat:
Shop for products that control oil, unclog pores, reduce shine and breakouts. A weekly deep cleansing mask treatment is suggested and regular good skin care is a must! Products that contain salicylic acid tend to produce the best results.

Dehydration:
A dehydrated skin feels tight especially after cleansing and can display very fine lines especially on the cheeks. It can be prone to redness and slight sensitivity.
How to treat:
Shop for products that are hydrating and soothing which will replace lost moisture. Drink plenty of water in the day, use an SPF based moisturiser and be sure to apply moisturiser morning and night. The skin will also benefit from regular hydrating mask treatments.
